MISS RANCHO 2007
Amanda Olson
Hello everyone! My name is Amanda Olson and I am currently Miss Rancho San Diego 2007. I am nineteen years old and a current sophomore at Grossmont College. There I am starting my major in Political Science with an emphasis on Criminal Justice, and hopefully completing it next year at Berkley or UCSD. I am an outgoing person and I love helping my community. I have been involved in community service since I was thirteen years old and I have committed over 800 hours to my city.My favorite events overall are the MS and Breast Cancer walks because it is just an overwhelming feeling knowing that you are making a difference in so many lives. Additionally,I enjoy meeting new people and taking the initiative to make a difference.
With that being said, I am so excited to be blessed with this opportunity! This past year's pageant was so exciting and such a memorable experience. From there, I have become very close with my Rancho teen and Miss El Cajon/teen. The four of us can take on any community event with a smile! In addition, I absolutely love this corporation because all of us are the backbone of support for one another and everyone is there to encourage one another to reach their goals.
So far this year, I have had the privilege of attending the El Cajon Car Shows each week, where I have met many wonderful people all there to support the city and their love for all generations of cars. Also, I get to spend one Saturday a month to help clean up El Cajon.Personally, I value my city and know it has the up most potential to be the greatest city in San Diego County. All we need to do to succeed that objective is to work as a community to keep it clean and safe. In addition, I am attending different events around San Diego County and I am learning about the numerous corporations that help keep our city successful.
Again I am so honored to be granted this opportunity to grow as a young adult through my community. Helping individuals and knowing that I am making a change to better my society is such an accomplishing feeling. I am living each day knowing it is a blessing, and that I now have been presented the chance to make a difference. I encourage everyone to join in on our our objective to make El Cajon and San Diego County as a whole, a safer environment for ourselves and for our future generations. Thank you for your support and God Bless!
Sincerely,
Amanda Olson
